The project team is growing. The two first post-doctoral researchers (Francesco Colin and Demet Arpacik) started in February 2026. They will conduct ethnographic fieldwork, respectively in Catalonia and Kurdistan.

They will be joined by a third post-doctoral researcher, who will focus on political aesthetics with a focus on Kurdistan and Sri Lanka. This person is expected to start in Fall 2026.

Finally, the final two post-doctoral researchers will complete the team in the Summer of 2027. One will be responsible for the study of popular perceptions of the repertoires we have detected, using focus group discussion. The other will be responsible for developing a database of separatist democratic repertoires across the globe.
